Restoring the Whole Family
Our family had a powerful experience at the Community Justice Society (CJS) after our 17 year old son made a grave error in judgement by consuming alcohol and driving a car. No one was harmed, but he was arrested and his license revoked.
At court our Legal Aid lawyer told us about CJS and we had several face to face conversations where the RJS Caseworker helped our family through one of the most difficult times in our lives. She was professional, kind, insightful and supportive. Through restorative discussions including police and community members, our son came to understand how his actions can harm others, and committed to making better decisions going forward.
